"Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use" (Romans 9:21-22)?
Tonight our study was lead by perhaps the youngest of our bunch, Brandon. As Brandon worked to get over his jitters and nervousness, many questions and comments arose as we discussed the doctrine of "Unconditional Election." I was very much impressed with the knowledge and understanding of those in the study (especially our charismatic brother who has been blessing us with his presence), and with the implications of the doctrine. It was made clear that pride can not be a fruit of this doctrine, and that only humble adoration and appreciate can be among the fruits of such a weighty truth. Not long into the study, Brandon would become increasingly comfortable, and he did a good job.
