Alone

"Yet he is actually not far from each one of us" (Acts 17:27)

Are Christians immune to feelings of loneliness? Certainly not. The child of God isn't different from any other in this regard. However - and this is the great difference - the Christian isn't left to the mercy of his feelings. Deceptive desires won't determine our choices for very long, and by the grace of God, our feelings won't have authority over us. As it is written..."He will never leave or forsake us," therefore we hope in the God who cannot lie. Soon it will be bright again, and I would have once again realized that a day in his presence is better than a thousand days anywhere else.
