I know that I've said it before, but I really must say it again. I love this atheist guy! And no, its not because I am a Christian and I'm commanded to, but he really does makes it easy for me to have good feelings toward him. Sure he's a foul mouth God-hating blasphemer, but such were some of us prior to conversion. For that reason, and still some others, it is my joy to preview this guy on my blog, and to pray for him as well!
In this video of "tough" question, AZ Superman asks a question that should cause many of God's people to sit silently in shame. He asks..."Why are people still going to Hell if Jesus supposedly paid the price for all people?" Before you decide to go writing Mr. AZ Superman with an answer, please think! He has already addressed your analogies, and shows perfectly why it is illogical for Christ do die for everyone, and still have people in hell. How is it that this guy, a staunch atheist no less, is able to see the holes in our theology? I'll tell you how. AZ Superman is doing what ALL people should do, and it is this: He is removing himself from all presuppositions in order to find truth. Have you not heard the old saying..."the only certain barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it?" Well Christians, what are you afraid of? To your Bibles man! This is not the time to be lazy, or for hiding behind quaint analogies and silly stories that don't make sense. This is the time for being Bereans.
This is the time for practicing good hermeneutics (Herman Who?), and for serious study! Now all that being said, I don't mean to come off angry or judgmental to my brothers and sisters in the Lord. The truth is, I just desire very much for God's people to KNOW His word, and to stop being satisfied with mediocrity. If we seriously studied our Bibles, people like this seemingly curious gentleman, AZ Superman, wouldn't be able to blaspheme our God because of our inability to understand and teach God's trues. Mr. "AZ" wouldn't be able to bring a change against the justice of God, if it weren't for our inconsistent theology. That's really the point to all this writing here, folks. If what "superman" is saying is true - and this is what some Christians teach and believe, incidentally - then God is not just, as there will be double-jeopardy with God. There will have been a Savior paying for the sins of man, and then men again paying for already "supposedly" forgiven sin.
