Interesting Conundrum:
Mystery of mysteries, the infinite clothed in finite. Have you ever sat and pondered the paradox that is the hypo-static union? How is it that Jesus, God himself, was able to die? How did the epitome of eternality exist as temporal, and cease to be? I sat and thought about this for awhile, and my head began to hurt from sweet pain.
What are some of your thoughts on this enigma?
The following is a quote from Josh Jones, you can check out his website here.
Once along time ago, There was a great kingdom. In fact it was so great, that if you saw it you would have said it would have lasted until the very ends of eternity; but alas it was not meant to be so. You see, one day a great serpent took up residence in it and tricked the people. "Your King wants you to believe that He cares for you! but I say he just wants to rule over you! Follow me and I will make you all your own king!" When the people saw that they could be like the king, they turned against their Good King, and followed the serpent.
The people became weak, and confused. Like a 1000 little kingdoms they fought against each other as well as their own Good King. Every king fought for his own kingdom which was sadly only himself. So, no one was strong enough to slay the serpent except the Good King but there was a problem. One of the things tha made the Good King so good was that He was very just. And if He left His castle with his crown and robes, he would have to give justice to the serpent as well as the people who were fighting against him. So he laid aside his crown and robes, and left his castle as a man. The only man who could slay the serpent.
Now, when He did so was he still fully king? Was he a man? He was both. Could he have called down legions of His knights? Certainly.
