How I spent Halloween

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”- Romans 10:15

I thank God for allowing me to be used this day! Surely he uses weak and feeble men to do great things, as he has predestined good works for us to walk in (Eph 2:10). I bless God for allowing me to be apart of his work today. Today I was able to sit in on a church's performance for a play they put on in a neighborhood I visited. While I didn't agree with everything the Pastor said - he actually said some things that bothered me - I praised God for the man. I remember telling a friend that men can learn good theology, but only God can make a man love in the way that the Pastor exuded. After the play, some friends and I were able to share the gospel with some people. I was sad to see that so many go to that church and didn't understand the gospel. This, incidentally, is why I'm so passionate about God's word and the necessity of sound doctrine! After passing out gospel tracts and doing some witnessing, we prayed and went back to do more witnessing. Oh what a joy to have prayers answered!

God protected us from harm, and even more, God bought people who needed to hear the message of life. One man in particular mentioned to me that he was on his way to do bad things, when he felt the need to inquire of us. As we spoke to him about the gospel, I told him that I didn't want to give him a false assurance, but rather I wanted him to tremble in God. It was for that reason I didn't pray with him, but instead pleaded with him to go home and seek God as if hell was opening up before him. It was so amazing to hear his response, as he actually told us that he would go home and seek the Lord. I know many people would pray with the man in that situation, but I trust that the Sovereign God would work in this man. After we spoke with him, we went back home to pray for him and the others we spoke to. I bless God for the work he has done in my life and in the lives of the people who worked with me today. I pray that he keeps us unto the day of our redemption!
